Herman Miller has launched a contest designed around the theme, “For a Better World Around You.” The “Design for You” contest was created to build excitement and engagement with the furniture brand’s existing and potential customers, as well as to increase interest from a broader demographic.

Entrants can enter to win at www.hermanmiller.com/designforyou.

The tiered contest harnesses the power of collective participation and the interactive sharing capabilities of social media. Prizes from Herman Miller are unlocked when the threshold number of entrants has been reached. The more people who sign up and enter to win, the more prizes are unlocked. Entrants are encouraged to share the contest link with their friends via email or on Facebook and Twitter. Tiered prizes include the Yves Behar-designed Leaf Light and the popular Embody chair. In addition, the person who refers the most sign-ups wins the Aeron chair.

The “Design for You” contest culminates in a giveaway of the Grand Prize – five custom Eames Rockers hand-painted by commissioned artists, including Josh Cochran, Philip Lumbang, Mark Giglio, Chris Lee and Andrew Holder. Entrants can learn more about the prizes and drawing schedule, view behind-the-scenes artist interviews, and track the number of sign-ups on the contest website. The Grand Prize winner will be announced at the end of November.

Commenting on the early public reaction to the program, Marg Mojzak, Herman Miller’s director of retail operations, noted, “The initial response has been fantastic, with more than ten thousand participants in the first few days of the contest. It’s a testament to both the passionate following for Herman Miller designs and the appeal of the contributing artists’ individual works. The good news for those who haven’t yet entered is that there is no limit to the number of registered participants—there’s still time to get in!”
