You might call these BAZAAR eats.
According to WWD, Harper’s Bazaar has plans to open a café in the world’s hotspot for luxury spending, the United Arab Emirates.
Now this isn’t the first time a publication has entered the eats space, even in the UAE. Condé Nast International launched Vogue-branded cafés (Moscow, Kiev, The Dubai Mall) years ago. But this Bazaar nosh may still be notable.
Hearst Magazines International, Harper’s Bazaar’s publishing house, is partnering with Marka PJSC, a Dubai-based retail operator focusing on acquisitions, franchise agreements and retail concepts in the UAE, to open the concept in November 2015.
After the first café is complete, Marka will debut nine more across the Middle East through 2020.
