Do plants survive without sun and water? Yes they can, in the new Myrdal Plantlamp designed by Emilia Lucht and Arne Sebrantke of Studio We Love Eames. Ideal for places that are deprived of sunlight and regular water supply, the plant-cum-lamp allows plant lovers to grow greenery anywhere. Fitted with LED lights, the Myrdal Plantlamp creates its own self-sustaining ecosystem. The product is also self-sufficient to mimic the process of photosynthesis and exist without water. Another special feature is an electrically conductive glass coating which is able to stream the electricity invisible along the surface, which means there is no cable connection between the power source and the LED light.
Green thumbs dwelling in the cities with little space to grow greens indoors can hang the pendant or simply place the standing Plantlamp in their dens. However they will have to wait as the lamps are not yet not available for sale.
