Its latest introduction, a stunning high-back armchair by Patricia Urquiola for her Crinoline collection, is an instant classic. “I wanted to free the outdoor [furniture] typology from its preconceived ideas and expectations,” Urquiola says. By developing patterns reminiscent of 1960s and 1970s macramé and employing them as a decorative motif on a thoroughly modern form, she has created a chair that is equally handsome indoors or out.
