Here’s your chance to own a piece of history. A replica of iconic actor James Dean’s Porsche Spyder – the ‘Little Bastard’ – is up for sale. This is the car that Dean was driving when he died.
Dean’s Spyder was customized by legendary George Barris – of Batmobile fame.
It was the last car Dean got to drive. On his way to a race at Salinas, California, Dean crashed head on into a Ford Tudor and was pronounced dead at the Paso Robles War Memorial hospital.
Today, a lot of custom shops are producing their own versions of the “Little Bastard”. One has turned up on James List.
This version is a Porsche 550, a Perry D design, is reproduction of the original with only 200 miles since its completion. It features a 4 cylinder engine and a red interior.
