Luxury hotel brand Four Seasons is following the lead of Relais & Chateaux by launching a luxury vacation rental site that offers private villas, residences and holiday homes in response to the growing popularity of Airbnb, FlipKey, VRBO and other short term rental booking sites.
Targeted towards multi-generational families and small groups traveling together, the new vacation rental portal includes upscale properties, urban residences, and resort villas around the world with fully equipped kitchens, and large indoor and outdoor spaces. With each reservation, guests can also book a private chef or chauffeur, and request services such as a fully stocked fridge, housekeeping, fitness facilities, and a childproofed home before arrival.
Currently, the website features 13 properties in the Americas and the Caribbean, Africa and Asia.
“We’re seeing a steady increase in multi-generational and small group travel, guests who want to get away with children, grandparents or groups of friends to celebrate holidays or mark special moments. And these guests are looking at residential options,” said Jose Soriano, vice-president of worldwide operations in a statement. “Whether a pied-a-terre in the city or a holiday villa, our new website takes the guess work out of finding a Four Seasons vacation rental that offers the privacy, space and freedom of being at home with an ideal base from which to explore a new destination, relax or entertain – all while having full access to Four Seasons signature service and amenities to deliver every comfort and luxury.”
