A large study of postmenopausal women has found that fish oil may guard against breast cancer. The study is not conclusive, but it sets the stage for an upcoming trial of fish oil consumption to further clarify the issue.
For years many people have argued that fish oil offers significant health benefits. Other studies have shown fish oil supplements or a diet high in fish helps against cardiovascular ailments. The new study is the first to suggest a link between fish oil and a lower risk of breast cancer.
