Like the hit song says, changes in latitude bring changes in attitude at Margarita Resorts. Now a big change in altitude mean big changes in scenery, too. The sunny lifestyle resort is opening its first in a snowy wonderland on December 14. Located in Northern California at the base of Tahoe’s famed Heavenly Mountain in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Margarita Resort Lake Tahoe will become a year-round destination for vacationers seeking winter skiing and snowboarding, and warm-weather forest and lake adventure including boating, swimming, hiking, biking, and fishing.
All-suite Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe will transport guests to a vacation state of mind with its relaxing island vibes and live entertainment. In faithful memory of “Margaritaville” songwriter Jimmy Buffett’s easy-going charm, the 399-suite resort will exemplify Buffett’s signature fun and escapism. Offering guests an elevated experience that is quintessentially Lake Tahoe, each casual-luxe suite starts at 511 square feet, boasts stunning views of the lake or alpine mountains, and features separate bedroom and living room spaces with a dining table and wet bar.
Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe will be home to five dining concepts: the lobby’s License to Chill Bar, LandShark Bar & Grill, Joe Merchant’s, Come Monday Café, and JWB Prime Steak and Seafood. The property will also feature 14,000 square feet of event space, and an indoor heated pool with sliding doors to a patio offering views of the surrounding mountain landscape during the warmer months.
“We are excited to bring this beloved brand to one of the country’s most iconic year-round adventure and ski destinations, just as Lake Tahoe’s ski season commences,” said Bob Jensch, Managing Director of Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe. “We eagerly anticipate welcoming both travelers and locals alike this winter and beyond, to escape the ordinary and embrace the Margaritaville state of mind.”
Located in the heart of South Lake Tahoe, Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe is walking distance to some of the area’s top attractions, including Heavenly Mountain Gondola, the new Tahoe Blue Event Center, and the crystal-clear waters of Lake Tahoe.
