Marriott International has opened a second Renaissance hotel in Barcelona, designed by Jean Nouvel and Ribas & Ribas. French architect Jean Nouvel came up with a daring design for the 357-room hotel, which goes by the name Fira: two towers joined at the top to form a panoramic restaurant.
Restaurant Le Palmer serves Mediterranean fare in a lush setting featuring palm trees and plants from around the world. It also boasts a breathtaking view of Catalonia’s capital.
The spacious bedrooms are equipped with the latest high-tech devices. One of the building’s 27 floors is devoted to meetings: it is made up of 11 multipurpose rooms covering 110 square meters.
The Renaissance Barcelona Fira also boasts a rooftop pool, an interior swimming pool, a gym and a solarium. The Fira marks the second opening of a Marriott hotel in the city after that of the Renaissance Barcelona back in May.
