If you want to get your hands on the new Ferrari Sergio, the Pininfarin-penned, two seat, windowless, topless sports car that will be a street legal version of this concept that debuted in Geneva last year, you’re too late.
Ferrari announced yesterday that it offered the car to six current Ferrari owners and each has accepted the invitation to buy this extremely limited edition model. Based on the 458 platform, few details are available, but we expect it to carry the 562 hp V8 engine and incredible 7-speed dual clutch transmission, and performance should be at least as stunning as that of the 458 Italia.
One minor inconvenience presented by the new design is that drivers and passengers will have to wear a helmet and eye protection while on the road. This will create a challenge and opportunity for the Simpson, Bell, Shoei and others; who’s going to design a helmet as beautiful as this car?
