Ferrari finally has unveiled the 458 Italia.
After a thunderstorm of rumors, renderings and reckless speculation on the part of the auto blogging world, Ferrari has finally unveiled its long-awaited successor to the F450, dubbed the 458 Italia. Declared to be the fastest production Ferrari ever built, the 458’s advanced 4.5-litre V8 engine with a double clutch and seven speed gearbox kicks out 570 hp at 9,000 rpm and 540Nm at 6000 rpm; that translates into 0-100 km/h in under 3.5 seconds and a maximum velocity of 325 km/h. The “Italia” moniker relates to Ferrari’s hopes the new model will make the mother country proud. – From James List
