Italian fashion house Fendi has teamed up with French furniture designer Maria Pergay for a limited edition design collection. Currently. the two have come together to dress up two rooms at the 2013 Edition of Ad Intérieurs in L’Enclos de Bernardis in Paris.
Renowned as one of the most talented and iconic designers, Maria’s fabulous creations sit in the homes of avid collectors and in world-famed museums. Fendi ventures deeper into the interior design universe with such collaborations.
Dominated with fur, sheers and metal, the enchanted office setup showcases Pergay’s signature Flying Carpet daybed too.
Maria Pergay has already craft three pieces for Fendi’s Avenue Montaigne flagship. Also five of Pergay’s outstanding designs will be part of Fendi Casa Icons capsule collection of home furnishings. The re-editions will hit the shelves of Club House Italia’s retail stores.
Silvia Venturini Fendi, the brand’s creative director of accessories and men’s wear states, “Pergay echoes Fendi’s approach to design, in its combination of ancient and futuristic techniques and references. I like her aesthetic. She experiments a lot. She works with steel, which is a very masculine material, but she makes it feminine and sensual. So she is the perfect person to represent our aesthetic.”
The Interiors AD 2013 is organized in partnership with Fendi and is running from 7th September up till 22nd September.
