Fendi has moved into its new headquarters at the Palazzo della Civilta Italiana in Rome. The fashion house has marked the milestone with a pompous inauguration event. The evening also celebrated the opening of Fendi’s first art exhibition titled Una Nuova Roma. L’Eur e il Palazzo della Civilta Italianana nuova Roma.Poesia di Luce light installation by Italian artist Mario Nanni also commemorated the much-awaited opening event in the Roman capital. The 75-year-old six-floor geometric structure with symmetrical arches is known as the Square Colosseum. LVMH owned Fendi commissioned architect Marco Costanzi for the makeover of its interior. At 204,500 square feet, the headquarter is designed to accommodate the Italian luxury label’s over 450 employees. Perched on top of a hill, the palazzo looks out on the Italian capital.The 10,800 square-foot exhibition space on the ground floor features a wide array of paintings, images, drawings and sketches by great Italian architects like Gino Severini, Mario Sironi, Enrico Prampolini, Francesco Messina. It also puts on display design objects and historical images.Fendi Headquarters inauguration event bought A-listers from the luxury fashion world under one roof. Karl Lagerfeld, Bernard Arnault,Minister Maria Elena Boschi, Antonio Belloni, Silvia Venturini Fendi and Pietro Beccari were seen together. Also all five of the Fendi sisters gathered for the very special opening. The table for the celebration dinner was also dressed in style at the new Fendi headquarter’s rooftop.
