The longest Ryder Cup in history wrapped up in thrilling fashion, with U.S. Open Champion Graeme McDowell sinking a 15-foot putt to give Europe a victory in Wales.
On the other end of the spectrum was Hunter Mahan, whose weak tee shot on the 17th was followed by an even weaker chip. Mahan was visibly shaken afterward, and could barely talk in the wake of his play.
The Americans have not won the Ryder Cup away from home since 1993. They almost managed this year, with an exciting surge behind 21-year-old rookie Rickie Fowler, but it was not to be.
