It’s true — Margaret “Peggy” Russell is leaving Elle Decor to become the Editor in Chief of Architectural Digest.
Condé Nast announced on Thursday that Russell will succeed the legendary Paige Rense as editor in chief of Architectural Digest. Russell was previously vice president and editor in chief at Elle Decor. She joined Elle Decor as part of the launch team as an associate editor in 1989.
Russell will step into her new position in early September. The magazine will move its headquarters from Los Angeles to one of Condé Nast’s buildings in New York City.
