Let’s be honest — it’s been awhile since you’ve seen an in-room dining menu that’s actually made you excited to order. Sure, there are hotels where your menu comes from top chefs (think the Nobu Hotel in Las Vegas) or where you can order a steak from a celebrity chef (Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak at the Four Seasons in Washington, DC) but, for the most part, it’s all about your basic burger, turkey club, and caesar salad.
Eden Roc Miami Beach’s new in-room dining menu is attempting to re-invigorate room service with a new creative spin on the tired old approach, and we applaud them for it.
Six signature menu offerings are now available at Eden Roc Miami Beach, each with its own unique twist and story. These adults-only items come complete with a signature game, a special dish and a bottle of a selected spirit.
Try the “Blue Eye Mayhem,” paying tribute to one of the iconic hotel’s most iconic guests, Frank Sinatra. Get your choice of a) classic game of Chess or b) Pin the Tail on the Donkey along with a food pairing and the original 1950’s Eden Roc Beverage Napkin Signed by Frank Sinatra himself; a special nod to the hotel’s longstanding and notable presence in Miami.
You could also try “Mouse Trap,” which features the fun board game, a charcuterie board with assorted cured meats, spreads, cheeses, and a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. Sweet teeth with love “Sugar Foot,” which comes with the Candy Land board game, Eden Roc Cotton Candy, Pop Roc candy, and a bottle of Grape Ciroc.
Most unique? Elizabeth’s Passion: Yahtzee, Hershey’s chocolate Syrup, Beluga caviar, French fries, cheeseburger fondue, and a bottle of vodka and Kahlua.
These items are pricey – $150 – $4,000 each, but certainly a lot more fun than your average menu.
The ‘regular’ menu isn’t half bad either, including tres leches pancakes, a “Mona Lisa” burger with caramelized onion, cheddar and crispy pickles, or a grilled salmon bento box from the spa menu.
