Ecologically correct fashion can be more than hemp totes and Veja sneakers — even more than vegan platforms from Stella McCartney. In the hands of the Franco-Brazilian designer Jean-Philippe Gawronski, it’s something you want to wear well beyond the yoga studio. The handsome 30-year-old designer, who honed his skills at Lanvin for a year, realized that there was something missing at the high end of the green market. In 2007, he launched Imitation and Disguise, a focused collection of luxurious clothing and accessories made with ecologically certified materials. “I wanted to create clothes that make a woman look elegant, sexy and of the moment,” he said from Paris. – From NY Times
