Singita Game Reserves in Tanzania is offering a safari designed for the equestrian traveler.

Specifically designed for the equestrian traveler, Singita Game Reserves is introducing East African overnight horseback safaris. The four-night safaris, which accommodate a maximum of six guests, travel across the western corridor of the Serengeti, through the lush wilderness of Tanzania between two of the reserve’s lodges. Departing from Singita Sasakwa, where riders are outfitted on the one of the reserve’s 18 thoroughbred horses, the guests begin their safari accompanied by two seasoned guides. The daily rides range from four to six hours, depending on the guests’ preferred pace, with longer morning rides and shorter evening rides separated by catered lunches and siestas each afternoon. The safaris include a short orientation ride across the plains on the first day followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Sasakwa lodge, then two nights at Faru Faru lodge (which features a poolside beach with frequent sightings of wild animals) and a final night back at Sasakwa, where riders can take respite at the reserve spa before leaving the next day. The four-night package is fully inclusive from $5,790, excluding airfare. – From Robb Report
