More from Milan Fashion Week, this time Dolce&Gabbana’s 2011 Summer collection.
This year’s collection features extra light, washed and rubbed-down cotton, sandblasted denim, sweaters in jute or in interwoven jute and leather, extra light silk sweaters, open-work leather shoes or made with new techniques to hand-sew leather and Sicilian style leather sandals.
The collection takes heavily from traditional Italian clothing – sensible and comfortable. The string and leather sandals are like those worn by Sicilian fishermen, while the leather bags that take inspiration from those used by the farmers in the South of Italy.
