Located on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Tanjong Jara Resort was especially designed to reflect the grandeur of 17th century Malay palaces, The resort features a total of 99 rooms, each having an authentic taste of the region’s spirit. The philosophy of the place is based on the Malay concept of Sucimurni, which is said to emphasize “purity of spirit, health and well-being, Tanjong Jara encourages true rejuvenation of both body and spirit”.
The neighboring sea, palm trees rustling in the wind, large swimming pools and a genuine architecture give the resort its exotic and laid back character. Wood was extensively employed in the design of the accommodation units, ensuring the idea of tradition and originality. When inside, the wooden floors, panels and frames inspire a welcoming feel. Large windows in each dwelling offer unobstructed sea views, while the floor to ceiling curtains give away breezy, holiday-depicting sensations.
