It looks like it should be in a Sean Connery-era Bond film, but this beautiful auto is actually brand spanking new. It’s the Speedback from David Brown Automotive, the first vehicle to be produced by the company, which is headed by British sports car fan David Brown.
While the Speedback is no doubt inspired by Aston Martin, the vehicle is based on the Jaguar XK. Under the hood, you’ll find a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 engine that produces over 500 horsepower. It can go from 0-60 mph in just 4.6 seconds, and tops out at 155 mph.
The car features a nice mix of old and new school. Inside, you’ll find extensive use of leather and hand-crafted wood veneers alongside heated adjustable seats.
David Brown will officially unveil the Speedback at the 2014 Top Marques Monaco in April. The company has not released a price, but says they intend to make no more than 50.
