Remember the spectacular elegance of the Toronto Townhouse presented on Pursuitist a while ago? Well, its creator – Cecconi Simone – designed another splendid project in Toronto, a boldly modern penthouse apartment spreading over 4,300 square feet. Known as the Yorkville Penthouse, this urban nest was crafted out of clean design lines, a soft color pallet and warm finishes. Organized in a semi-open plan, the warm inviting apartment showcases an inspiring fluidity between the public and private zones. Incorporating art was the best way of keeping a balanced atmosphere, where the owners can feel at home.
Accessible via a private elevator, the apartment welcomes family and guests with a lowered ceiling and curtain treatment that introduces everyone to the apartment. Further on, a gallery-like passage leads to the contemporary living space, being delimited with the help of white glazing panels. Walnut floors soften the pristine look, while the custom screen by Toronto-artist Ken Gangbar creates an interesting space division without obstructing views. An adjacent open plan dining/kitchen/den area invites close fiends to enjoy comfortable, casual get-togethers, while the bedroom zone is made of an art-display area, sleep area, and his and hers ensuites with dressing area -perfect urban lifestyle, right?
