Choosing to live a modern life surrounded by a wooded landscape can be one of the best choices for those who love the idea of integrating the interiors in nature. This next dream residence is designed to be used on a seasonal basis, both in the summer and the winter, whenever the owners need to relax and unwind. With a fairytale name that hints towards the house’s transparency and connection to the surrounding natural elements – Under the Moonlight House. Part of Giovanni D’Ambrosio‘s portfolio, the vacation house is located in Mount Hotham, Australia.
Building materials speak a natural design language – exposed stone, wood and metal shaped in a pointed architecture spreading over two levels. Wide exterior views are captures throughout the house with the help of large expanses of glass framed by thick and thin dark frames. The ground floor includes social spaces opening to an exterior deck, while the master bedroom with its own bathroom and spa and two additional bedrooms on the next level communicate to the outside via geometric frames alongside large windows. With a sheltered parking, this exceptional home is an inspiration to all building their dream home.
