Today’s daily dream home is located on the Catalan coast of Spain. The Santa Christina Residence features 5,890 square feet of living and entertaining spaces, completed by private resting rooms. Behind this project lies the talent of Barcelona-based studio DNA Barcelona Architects– a team of visionaries that have managed to construct a simple, luxurious and stunning glass and concrete residence.
Defined by a carefully planned floor plan, the house was constructed after studying where different spaces will be placed – like the rooms used during daytime and the ones used at night. A smaller volume – containing the main living spaces – was placed on a larger one, sheltering the private rooms. A wood-paved terrace captures the inhabitant’s attention and draws family and guests alike outside, to enjoy the soothing fresh air and clear natural light. The travertine marble slabs adorning the interior spaces are clearly visible with the help of good natural light coming from huge windows.
