Encompassing everything the owner asked for from a dream home – comfortable light-flooded interiors opening towards scenic panoramas of the Kitzbühl Alps – this modern wood and glass residence constructs a different design perspective that inspires and fascinates. Defined by a natural, carefully studied color and material palette, the contemporary house known as Haus Walde was imagined by Gogl Architekten and built for an Austrian client.
Subtle elegance was embedded into all the three stories, creating a design language fused with the inspiring surroundings. Resting on a sloped land, the modern house was adapted for both an urban lifestyle and the possibility to enjoy beautiful panoramas of the surroundings. Protected by a natural stone wall in the back, the house displays a revealing feature in the shape of movable wood facade elements that offer panoramic views, as well as privacy beyond the glazed south facing wall. Interiors use both modern technology and modern design to offer inhabitants the best solutions for a personalized lifestyle.
