Located in Corona del Mar, California, today’s dream home breaks the monotony with its fascinating collection of sophisticated interiors. This contemporary residence is defined by clean lines whether we’re talking about the architecture, landscape or interior design.
Imagined by Details A Design Firm, the Galatea Residence overlooks the surroundings via large windows, visually exploring nature outside while offering a great selection of furniture and art objects inside. Within this glamorous set of interiors induced by metallic accents and light, the owners can indulge in entertaining their friends and family.
The great room opens up to the surrounding landscape and ocean views via a wall of sliding glass doors. Displayed throughout, the use of cool grey shades, tan and wood combined make for an outstanding decor. Wire brushed light oak flooring contrast mahogany insets in the ceiling, creating a comfortable and elegant overall design while custom chrome-framed contemporary artwork decorates the walls.
Quartzite countertops, wood and stainless steel were magnificently combined in the kitchen area, where cooking food within this contemporary decor speaks about the need to combine aromas and aesthetics. Backlit mahogany shelves were matched with a custom granite covered dining area with metallic bench seating for informal dining, while the formal dining table seating up to 8 people sits next to the sliding glass walls, gathering fascinating panoramas. Glass railings guide sunlight deep inside the home and the atrium.
The spacious master bedroom was designed to be a continuation of the sophistication seen throughout. The bed boasts a tufted neutral headboard contrasting with the luxurious white bedding and pristine walls and the TV was placed against the opposing wall, right above the fireplace. Panoramas of the ocean flood through the large glass windows, provoking romantic ideas within this serene environment. The master bathroom showcases a freestanding bathtub and mahogany wood cabinetry that continue the neutral, elegant tone set by the rest of the house.
Playing tennis in the game room could become a routine, maybe combined with a few trips to the built-in wet bar. If owners so desire, a glass of wine is always at their disposal in the large, humidified wine room. What more could you ask for?
