Chinquapin Plantation is a modern day estate with by-gone era charm. Nestled upon a bluff overlooking the Ochlocknee River, the stately Mediterranean-influenced main-house provides a stark yet pleasing contrast to the natural setting. With nearly square feet of wide verandas, cool porches, and a quietly elegant series of public rooms, numerous private wings and suites, the exquisite estate was designed to bring family & friends together in an enchanting setting to enjoy everything from large formal gatherings to the quiet solitude of one’s private porch overlooking the river. Completely remodeled by its present owner in 1981, then gently restored and expanded in 2000 with special consideration to its historic preservation. A separate guest cottage located across the motor court from the main-house contains 3 bedrooms. 6 tenant houses, pool house with solar-heated saline pool, 4 car detached garage, barns, stables, kennels & a skeet range are also located on the 1300 acre plantation.
