Home to a young family with two children, this residence we are about to visually explore is part of the modern design portfolio of Brazilian architects Studio Arthur Casas. Known as Casa ITU, the contemporary architecture contrasts the secluded farm-like lifestyle promised by the serene surroundings. Overlooking fields and a nearby lake, this spectacular home connects to the outdoors via sliding glass panels throughout the L-shaped floor plan.
While the first floor is occupied by the majority of living spaces, the second story has a large roof terrace also accesed via a staircase leading to the pool downstairs. A corner living space downstairs opens to the garden from two sides and a timber deck crawls to the rear elevation, leading to the swimming pool. An earthy material palette alongside local Brazilian teak wood create a strong visual bond between the architectural creation and the natural surroundings. Just like the contemporary weekend getaway designed by the same architects near Sao Paulo, this residence brings modern lifestyle options to almost rural landscapes.
