Start 2015 on the right foot by acquiring the most expensive listing on the market in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate has just listed Palazzo Grande, a 16,000-square foot lakefront mansion in Steeple Chase for $30 million.
The six-bedroom, six-bath plus two half-bath mansion was built in 2005 and designed to evoke the romantic atmosphere of a 16th century Italian Renaissance villa. We love the old world feel combined with modern amenities.
Notable design features include a portico with Corinthian columns that was inspired by the east façade of the Louvre in Paris, and an exterior faced with cast-stone marble veneer.
Inside, it’s chandelier city, with more than 40 glam light fixtures, including 30 Czechoslovakian crystal chandeliers and four gold-leafed Russian chandeliers. Custom details throughout the mansion include hand-carved wood ceilings and doors, Herbeau plumbing fixtures, limestone walls, and mahogany floors inspired by the Palace of Versailles.
Planning a party? A spacious ballroom boasts an ornate mirrored ceiling and room to entertain 75 guests. Love to cook? The kitchen features limestone walls, cherry cabinets, a center island with granite countertop, two pantries, two Sub-Zero refrigerators, two Bosch dishwashers, a 60-inch Wolf range, a custom hood and Venetian-style ceiling with an attached breakfast room. The dining room is a replica of Venice’s Galleria Academia, featuring a ceiling adorned with 80 hand-carved cherubs.
There’s something for everyone. Other rooms include an office, billiard room, den, rotunda library, loggia, lounge and laundry room with two Bosch washing machines and two dryers.
A separate guest house features a kitchen, bathroom and laundry room, perfect for live-in help or long-term guests.
Outside, enjoy the 1,120-square-foot pool features blue Polaris marble, four custom carved stone lion fountains and a large spa with a spacious pool deck for entertaining. The Parthenon-style pool house offers a custom spa, custom wall fountain, bathroom and second-floor bedroom. A Har-tru clay tennis court is located conveniently behind the pool deck.
What do you think — is it your next $30 million investment?
