We’re in love with today’s Daily Dream Home, a striking San Francisco find featuring one of the most striking facades among the finest homes in Pacific Heights.
Designed by great architect of the Gilded Age James F. Dunn, who is known for his “exuberant ornamentation,” the Beaux Arts home features an impressive array of friezes of foliage, garlands, cornices and scroll corbels. The grand interior is designed for entertaining; one can only imagine many black tie affairs have been held within the home.
The grandly renovated home, listed by Coldwell Banker, still feels livable, however, thanks to modern updates and monochromatic touches like white marble and sleek grey walls. Highlights include views iconic Golden Gate Bridge and the bay, as well as seismic engineering and state of the art systems—entertainment, communications, energy efficiency and security have been carefully thought out for the new owner’s enjoyment and comfort.
The home also comes fully furnished. But, we can assume that when you’re paying $28 million, you can take or leave the furnishings if you so desire.
