We love our over-the-top dream home listings, but sometimes we’re intrigued by homes that we can’t actually purchase … like this dream rental from new DC apartment complex The Woodley, where penthouses with private roof terraces and balconies start at $8,900 a month and go up to $10,400. The units are spacious, with one-bedrooms starting at over 1,000 square feet and three-bedroom, three-bath units topping out at just over 2,000 square feet of interior space.
This just might be the best (rental) set we’ve seen in DC, thanks to its posh location just minutes from Metro and downtown, amenities like a private “meditation garden,” rooftop terrace and state-of-the-art gym.
The 16 penthouses feature 9′ ceilings, 4″ plank hardwood floors and open-concept living rooms with custom moldings and marble fireplaces.
Our favorite part might just be the kitchens, which include KitchenAid Architect Series appliances, a paneled full-size refrigerator, double-wall ovens, and wine fridges. These look nearly custom — far beyond what we’ve seen in typical rental buildings. The bathrooms are similarly luxe, with oversized Kohler tubs and showers with mable countertops and travertine floorings.
Entertain in style – we particularly love the views from these upper-level units, which include views of the Washington Monument, National Cathedral, and the Rock Creek Parkway.
What do you think? Would you drop $120,000+ year on the rental of your dreams in DC?
