When a mansion offers a $15+ million price drop, you know it’s a pretty spectacular listing.
That’s exactly what happened with 12 East 69th St., an Upper East Side townhouse with sweeping Central Park views, now on the market for a cool $98 million, down from its original $114 asking price.
The six-level, 20,000 square foot, 19-room home offers 7 bedrooms, 6 full baths and 3 half baths decorated in gilded grandeur. Despite its historic appearance, the 1884 home was renovated just several years ago, and now features radiant heat flooring throughout and high-tech amenities including touch control of sound and security, a 12′ screen in the home theater and a massive chef’s kitchen.
Additional amenities include a 23-foot-long swimming pool and 2,000-square-foot roof deck. The home is owned by Wall Street investor Vincent Viola.
We still can’t imagine spending $100 million on it, though.
