Imagined by Canadian interior designer Robert Bailey, this vacation home you’ll be taking a virtual tour of is located in Naramata, British Columbia, Canada. Named after its location, the Naramata Cabin was beautifully decorated because the clients and designer worked close together. Sketches done by the owner guided the interior designer’s steps to creating a perfectly customized vacation retreat.
Placed on the shores of Lake Okanagan, the weekend cabin is humble and simple, but it gathers everything the family needs for a relaxing holiday. The surrounding geography was a big part of the inspiration, leading to a strong connection between the inside and the outdoors. Natural French oak ceilings and floors hold a world of comfort between them: “Our goal for the furnishings was to achieve a sense of simple luxurious comfort, that feels curated rather and designed.” The TV room features Patricia Urquiola rugs from the Mangas Collection, which we presented on Pursuitist not too long ago. The simplicity and raw nature of this vacation home is what makes it perfect for its casual inhabitants, don’t you think?
