Christmas is all over the hotel-land too! While most of the hotels are busy dishing out festive feasts, they are also marking the festive celebrations by putting up OTT Christmas trees. With the just a week leading up to Christmas, Pursuitist has rounded up some of the most decorative and stunning installations at some of the most iconic luxury hotels around the world. Each Christmas tree transforms the lobby as well as the other areas in to a magical wonderland. Along with hotel guests, the stunning holiday decor also lures travelers and visitors alike.
The New York Palace hotel swells with pride with a dozen Christmas trees which are surrounded by 68,000 lights and 32,000 ornaments. While the lobby and public areas are “dressed-up” in their holiday finest, beckoning from the sidewalk is the brightly lit tree in the Grand Courtyard.
Christmas tree at Claridge’s is designed by Dolce & Gabbana and is ornamented with 9,000 fairy lights and 300 hand-blown baubles from Bellagio in Italy.
Four Seasons George V –
Four Seasons George V, Paris celebrates the festival with beautifully decorated interior and the cherry red display at the hotel lobby. Designed by Jeff Leatham and produced by Michael Amann, these life-size sculptures of a Christmas tree along with two polar bears are made of red glass.
Hotel de Russie –
Rocco Forte’s Hotel de Russie teams up with Fendi to celebrate the season by displaying a grand five meter tall tree in the courtyard. This high-on-fashion tree is shaped out of 350 gold and silver Baguette bags and lit-up by micro flash and strobe lights,

Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai commemorates the real Christmas spirit with generosity, charity and help. The hotel has put up a Christmas tree in its lobby with shining stars hanging on it. Each of these stars is inscribed with a name of a child. Through December 24, 2014, guests can adopt a star for a small mount at the concierge desk and put a smile on the face of a child this holiday season. Truly a Chirstmas tree with a noble heart!
