The curtains at the runways of the New York Fashion Week have been drawn for this season. However, Christian Louboutin’s presence at the NYFW Summer Spring 2016 cannot be missed. The Parisian footwear designer collaborated with others designers and gave us five reasons to drool over the red soles that completed the look on the runways. Monsieur Louboutin re-imagined Rivierina 120 to complement Cushnie et Ochs’ collection. Delivering extra femininity and sex appeal to a hip-hop inspired collection, Rivierina donned an ultra-shiny patent finish. It hit the catwalk in pastel shades of yellow, lavender, mint, and peach as well as graphic black and white.Christian Louboutin’s Beauté nail color in La Favorita and Sevillana added oomph to the look in form of a chic, deep V manicure inspired by the open backs and bare shoulders of the collection.
For Australian designer Dion Lee’s show, Louboutin touch showed up in form of strappy satin nude Gwynitta in two heel heights, as well as the fringed black Casonovella. For this season, designer Jenny Packham summoned the powers of masculine pop icons Mick Jagger, David Bowie and Nick Cave. The footwear designer customized a mule with a feminine peep-toe and delicate yet edgy gold chain detailing to match with a collection infused with the best of glitzy glam rock. The style walked the runway in gold, black and a peachy nude nappa leather. The Spring-Summer 2016 season also marked Christian Louboutin’s first collaboration with New York designer Zac Posen. The French label’s Body Strass, Pigaresille and Pigalle Flats grounded the collection along with the t-strap Miss Early 120 in black and white patent.Inspired by sun-drenched gardens in the South of France and the azure blue waters of Capri, Naeem Kahn’s graceful collection was harmonized by custom Christian Louboutin wedges in silver mirrored specchio leather.
