Parisian shoe designer, renowned for red soles, has ventured into designing a much private range of clothing for women. Christian Louboutin has teamed up with American burlesque dancer, model, costume designer Dita Von Teese for a lingerie capsule collection. The duo have designed a seven-piece collection called XXXtian. Comprising of the most essentials for a diva’s undergarment closet, the limited edition range screams Louboution with red bows and red Swarovski crystals.
Sold exclusively in Europe on Glamuse.com, a lingerie e-tailer, the line includes a bra, a bodice, suspenders, chemise and gown. Featuring black lace and an all-over toile de Jouy motif designed by Louboutin, it is printed on silk that is adorned with Leavers lace. Inspired by Louboutin’s email signature of ‘Xtian,’ the collection is christened with additional X’s to up the sex appeal.
Xxxtian Chemise is a true collectors piece. A 100% silk at floor-sweeping length holds timeless appeal. The streamlined silhouette is both sophisicated and feminine and Dita Von Teese’s signature sensuality is present in the contrasting lace bodice, finished with a soft fluttering capped shoulder detail.
Dita Von Teese is a muse for Christian Louboutin as he has designed this French toile print for her. It depicts Dita performing her Bird of Paradise act. The XXXtian gown with the risqué design printed on Italian silk features padded shoulders and full sleeves. Adorned with Swarovski crystals and a heavy red tassel tie at the waist, the ‘XXXtian’ Gown can be wrapped around for € 899 (about $1,111).
Dita encapsulates the detailing in her own words, “The print originally appeared on louboutinworld shoes and a bag, and features images of me feather fan dancing, perched in my birdcage, and wearing Louboutins, of course! You’ll also find some risqué fetish scenes in the print”.
The collection with a red soul starts from 105 Euros (about $130) for panties.
