Chanel unveiled its 2015-16 Cruise collection in Seoul, the brand’s first in South Korea. The French fashion house hosted the show that put on display a spectacular collection of ninety-five looks.
Justifying the decision of heading to the capital of South Korea, Lagerfeld stated, “Korea is…mysterious, less known in a way so I saw it was the right moment to do it.” He also added, “I love traditional Korean clothes, materials, patterns. The concept is modern, international version of typical Korean mood, how we see it for the modern 21st century but with inspiration from the past.”
Held at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, the world’s largest neo-futurist building, conceived by Zaha Hadid, the fashion event of one of the most recognized label was attended by international as well as Korean celebrities. The front row saw the likes of Kristen Stewart, Tilda Swinton, Gaspard Ulliel, Gisele Bundchen, along with Korean celebrities G-Dragon, Taeyang, actors Ah- Sung Ko, Jung Ryeo-Won, Park Shin-Hye and Siwon Choi as well as Japanese actor Rinko Kikuchi.

Creative designer Karl Lagerfeld’s latest creations are based on a colorful palette of pink, orange, violet, mint green and royal blue. The 2015-16 Cruise collection highlights round-shouldered jackets with large sleeves, wide trousers, over-the-knee skirts and multicolored striped dresses with high waistlines.
