Ohne Titel, Suno, Joseph Altuzurra, and Pamela Love are among this year’s nominees.
The eighth edition of the annual prize will again yield $300,000 for the winner and $100,000 each to two runners-up to help take their careers in fashion to the next level.
In order to choose those most worthy of the award, a committee will meet with the finalists at their respective design studios, before each of them will be asked to create outfits especially for the competition, to be unveiled in October. The winners will be announced in New York City on November 14 at a gala dinner.
Previous honorees include Alexander Wang, Proenza Schouler, Prabal Gurung, Derek Lam, and Thakoon.
