Cara Delevingne’s charismatic presence is witnessed all over the fashion world in form of many campaigns, on the catwalks and in various fashion bibles. The English fashion model still manages to rule the scene by starring on her first solo cover for Vogue. The 22 year old model graces the July 2015 cover of Vogue by facing the lens of photographer Patrick Demarchelier and styled by Tonne Goodman. Clad in a maroon Prada dress, adorned with two colorful and embellished brooches, she looks truly elegant. Her brunette locks are styled to cascade naturally on one side. She sports a fresh look with her eyes dressed with pink eyeshadow, a touch of blush on cheeks, and a dash of rose color on the lips. Her signature bushy eyebrows are worn neatly too. Lastly an ear cuff completes the Vogue-cover look.
Flaunted by a perfect headline, “Candid Cara” on the cover, the July issue of Vogue also carries her most revealing interview to date. Cara makes it very clear that modeling was an amuse-bouche, an hors d’oeuvre, never the main dish. Acting is and always was the thing. She adds, “The thrill of acting is making a character real. Modeling is the opposite of real. It’s being fake in front of the camera.”She also speaks about growing up with a heroin addict mother and comes out in open about her sexuality in this issue. She makes an unfiltered statement about her love life with with Annie Clark aka St. Vincent, “I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I’m feeling so happy with who I am these days. And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle.”The actress-in-making also gives insight about her upper-class upbringing, struggle with depression, developmental coordination disorder, demanding diet restrictions, addiction as well as contemplation about suicide. The pretty face cleverly disguises the murky past!
