The ridiculous hat that performer Pharrell Williams wore to the 2014 Grammy’s can now be yours. The “Mountain” hat designed by Vivienne Westwood has been placed on eBay for a very good cause. Proceeds from the enormous hat that the singer wore on the Grammys will go to his educational non-profit for children, From One Hand to Another.
“I’m giving up the Buffalo hat I wore to the GRAMMYs to help underserved kids get the educational tools they need,” Pharrell explained in a statement. “Our organization, From One Hand to Another, is committed to bringing kids experiences that ignite their passions, challenge their minds and prepare them for success.”
It’s currently going for $11,600.00 on eBay with eight days left on the auction.
“It’s a Vivienne Westwood Buffalo hat from when she was with Malcolm McLaren,” Williams told the Hollywood Reporter. “It’s not vintage – I would’ve been really stylin’ if I had one from the 80s.”
“Now is your chance to own a piece of pop culture history! Bid on Pharrell Williams’ Vivienne Westwood “Mountain” hat that was one of the biggest hits of the 2014 GRAMMY Awards,” the post reads on eBay.
“All proceeds benefit From One Hand to Another whose mission is to help change the world one kid at a time by giving them the tools and resources to meet their unique potential and empower them to nurture curiosity by learning through new technologies, arts, media and motivation.”
