Even stars like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie feel the urge to move on and let go of something worth $6.5 million. The celebrity supercouple have listed their New Orleans mansion which they bought for $3.5 million in 2006. The French Quarter home in Louisiana was bought by the duo after the 51 year old American actor and producer had established the Make It Right Foundation to assist development of new housing in the Lower 9th Ward after Hurricane Katrina.
The green and white old-fashioned styled mansion was built in 1830 and spreads over 7,645 square feet. The big house of Big Easy has been reworked by Brad Pitt to suit current day’s lifestyle demands. The three story family home is listed with four-bedroom and four full and two half bathroom in main house. For the price of $6.5 million, it also comes with a separate two-story guesthouse that provides another bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms. The property’s large private courtyard is also home to a small swimming pool.
Other notable features of the property are Venetian plaster walls, custom designed marble mantels and fireplaces, a grand spiral staircase, an elevator and a gourmet kitchen with top of the line appliances. However the images of the interiors are not made public to maintain privacy.
While Latter & Blum Realtors has the property listing at 521 Gov. Nicholls St., it is known that Bradgelina is letting go of the property in order to look for something more off the beaten path.
