RM Auctions will offer one of only two – and only known remaining – original 007 Aston Martin DB5 movie car at its October 27, 2010 ‘Automobiles of London’ auction in London, England.
The silver 1964 Aston Martin DB5, driven by Sean Connery in the James Bond movies and dubbed by car RM Auctions as “the world’s most famous car,” is expected to sell for at least $5 million.
The car was featured in two movies with Sean Connery including “Goldfinger” and “Thunderball.” It comes with all the Bond gadgets including fake machine guns, revolving number plates and smoke screen.
The Aston Martin is being sold by radio broadcaster Jerry Lee, who bought it for $12,000 in 1969. It has remained in his home since then and has rarely been seen publicly.
