Nothing too shocking in this survey.
BMW is the keenest to adopt innovations to vehicles, according to North American parts suppliers who responded to a survey by Automotive News and J.D. Power and Associates. Toyota placed second, while Chrysler and General Motors not surprisingly are at the bottom of the list. The survey asks suppliers to judge innovation through five factors: “openness to ideas, trust, ease of working with the automaker, willingness of the carmaker to share financial rewards, and ability to implement innovations.” The results are translated into numerical scores, which are represented in a 1000-point index. “Extremely proactive in leading technological innovations,” said one executive of BMW’s approach. – From Motor Trend
