Lyndon Bell has a brilliant review of the BMW M3:
At the break of day on a Sunday morning – on the truly challenging roads frequented primarily by sport bikes and other performance cars – the very few drivers you come upon in more prosaic conveyances have a tendency to see you coming and get out of the way. They somehow understand that if you‘re out that early in the morning, approaching them with such an obvious sense of purpose, in a car whose appearance is as nakedly aggressive as the BMW M3‘s is, there is no point in trying to impede your progress. In fact, in our personal experience, we were cheered on as if we were part of a European road race wherein the pilots of machinery like the 414-horsepower BMW M3 are honored and revered for their skill and daring – rather than vilified for their ability to master such a marvelous plaything. – from Examiner
