Will Lexus soon launch their own 1 Series, following in the footsteps of BMW? In the month of September, the BMW 1-series will be facing some new competition. Sources have said that presently Lexus is developing a 1-series challenger and it will be entering the stage as a concept car at the Frankfurt motor show during this year. Definitely BMW doesn’t consider the short-handing and they do appear to be fairing pretty good in premium C-segment. Further the Lexus model will be based on the U.S. market-only HS250h. And it is a hybrid with a 2.4 liter gasoline/petrol engine. Adding, the car provides a total of 187 hp with the addition of the electric motor output. Moreover, the European model may have the name CS or BS. Also it will be a front-wheel drive and developed absolutely as a hybrid but will not be built on the similar platform as that of HS250h. And the European C-segment is too lucrative not to be in.
