Chiming about Chime for Change has become a routine. Today it’s time to know about Blake Lively’s association with this campaign which is headed by Gucci to raise funds and awareness of women’s issues globally. The Gossip Girl star has lent her support to this initiative by teaming up with Gucci Parfums.
This festive season, the brand has collaborated with The Perfume Shop to donate about $3 from sale of each, selected Gucci fragrance. Moreover, shoppers will enjoy the liberty to direct their share to which ever issue they are keen to support – education, health or justice. Along with Lively, this campaign is supported by other Gucci fragrance faces like James Franco and Evan Rachel Wood. The Perfume Shop announces that clients can purchase any Gucci fragrance and receive a donation card to help change lives.
The American actress told Vogue that “Gucci is such an iconic fashion house – you look to it and you think of the equestrian women who are so strong and then feminine women in these diaphanous gowns – but then all of the aesthetic aside, what I’ve been most moved by is its philanthropy. I mean, look at the Chime for Change initiative. It takes up such a chunk of so many people’s time, and energy and resources and finances, but it’s so important to give back and you can’t lose sight of that.”
Earlier also Blake Lively has attended the Chime For Change event in London to exhibit her support to this wave of momentum calling for change for girls and women and founded by Beyoncé, Frida Giannini and Salma Hayek Pinault.
