There’s only one September issue, and there’s only one Beyoncé. The cover reads, “Just B: Beyoncé and the Art of Global Domination.” Vogue offers a preview of the story by Margo Jefferson and also gives a rare personal glimpse of the icon in an exclusive video. The “Flawless” singer wears a Marc Jacobs Fall ‘15 lavender embroidered creation for the cover picture. Sporting wet tousled hair, a embellished purple jacket is casually draped over her shoulder.
Vogue calls her a powerhouse and announces that the most powerful thing about her persona is the unabashed pleasure she takes in her own body: its beauty, its power, its versatility.
Marc Jacobs speaks in admiration of Queen Bey, “The word diva is used for so many female performers, and it often means they have reputations for being difficult, but she exudes charm and a lovable quality.” “She’s the whole package: primal, rare, delicate, beautiful, and powerful” is Stella McCartney’s opinion about the American singer. Also creative director of Givenchy, Riccardo Tisci, asserts, “There is a magnetic presence to her.”
This is Beyonce’s third U.S. Vogue cover as she has earlier posed for the covers of the March 2013 issue, as well as the April 2009 issue.
Catch up with the rest of the cover story and the entire September issue as early as August 14 via Amazon or by picking it up in Target stores. The issue officially is set to hit the newsstands on August 25.
