Bentley finally unveiled the first official specs and photos for the new new V-8-powered Continental GT and GTC.
The move comes after months of teasing and speculation. The official word is now out, and the Continental GT and GTC will be powered by a twin-turbocharged, direct-injection, 4.0-liter V-8 engine. It will produce 500 hp. The new engine was developed with Audi, and is used in the latter’s S6, S7 and S8 models.
Gas mileage figures are improved with the GT and GTC, with Bentley reporting the new models will get 18 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. The numbers are impressive considering the models will weight nearly 5,000 pounds.
