To up the ante, the new St. Regis Istanbul hotel in the largest city in Turkey has opened exquisitely designed Bentley Suite. It is the second in the world only to the Bentley Suite at the brand’s flagship hotel in New York.
The British luxury automaker considers Istanbul the perfect location to create their second Bentley Suite. Designed by award-winning Turkish architect Emre Arolat, the Bentley Suite is a modern interpretation of Istanbul’s glamorous Art Deco era of the 1920s.
Inspired by the iconic Bentley Continental GT, the one-bedroom 4th floor Bentley Suite at the St. Regis Istanbul shares the distinctive hallmarks of Bentley design, craftsmanship and quality. It welcomes guests with an entry vestibule featuring mirrored ceilings and inset marble floors that recall the interior of a car wheel and lead to the living room. Bentley and St Regis team up to indulge guests in spacious and luxurious suite that features private foyer, powder room, open plan living area, bedroom, sizeable bathroom and large closet.
More Bentley-ness can be seen in form of curved veneered walls, a sofa lounge with signature Bentley diamond upholstery in Bentley linen leather and integrated Mulsanne champagne coolers as well as an abstract wool-and-silk carpet inspired by the Continental’s front grille. Also contemporary light installation, based on the Continental’s jeweled headlights and the sinuous curves of the Nuremberg Race Track, illuminates the room. Bentley seatbelt detailing runs down the edge of the drapes, while the powder room features light Windsor blue Bentley walls. Inspired by the wings of a Bentley dashboard, the wet bar is created from olive ash, accented with engine spin, anthracite and claret. Inside, three Breitling clocks help guests keep time with Istanbul, London and New York.
It also features a bespoke Humidor specially crafted in the Bentley woodshop. The Bentley Suite will drive guests and fans crazy with his and her Bentley jewelry boxes, custom-made backgammon set and a paperweight with Bentley flying ‘B’ bonnet mascot.
Large windows and furnished balcony with private dining for two allow guests to enjoy breath-taking views of Maçka Park and the Bosphorus.
The St. Regis Istanbul is located in the most prestigious address in the city, the Nisantasi district, which is also known as the 5th Avenue of Istanbul.
