Two leading British brands, that are renowned for designing the most expensive products, have teamed up to launch a new series of luxury smartphones. Bentley and Vertu have entered into a five year alliance to roll out five high-end phones for well-heeled auto as well as techie enthusiasts. While the first Vertu for Bentley phone will go up for sale in October, the other four distinctive editions will follow in the next five years.

As expected, each phone will be integrated with iconic Bentley design elements and lifestyle services. Loaded with latest Bentley content and exclusive Bentley experiences, the phone will blend form with function to offer a unique experience for Bentley and Vertu customers.

Though there are sparse details about the design and material used, buyers can optimistically hope to discover innovative connectivity features between the new phone and a Bentley car.

Speaking about adding a touch of Bentley to the world’s most desirable mobile phone, Wolfgang Dürheimer, chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors, stated “Bentley’s new partnership with Vertu brings together two world-leading brands defined by their commitment to performance, luxury and customer experience. The collaboration expands Bentley’s luxury range into the cutting-edge world of mobile communications and offers customers a new way to experience the world of Bentley.” He also added that, “Exclusive Bentley content will appeal to drivers, travellers and brand enthusiasts, through a partnership that delivers on both technology and touch.”

With an intention to work with an automotive partner that perfectly reflected Vertu’s own positioning, Massimiliano Pogliani, CEO of Vertu, also mentioned that, “This partnership will allow Vertu to fully integrate with the Bentley brand; phones will be jointly designed by the Vertu and Bentley design teams reliant on a relationship that goes far deeper than the utilisation of materials and cues on design.” The British manufacturer and retailer of luxury mobile phones is also confident that the Vertu for Bentley phones will appeal to their mutual customers’ desire for sophistication, craftsmanship and precision engineering.

Though the pricing details of Vertu for Bentley remains unavailable, it is anticipated to be a few notches higher than the usual $10,000 plus Vertu tag
